Licensure & Accreditation

20/80 is a Member of COMMON UNIVERSITY LLC, licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education (AZPPSE) as an institution of higher education. This license grants COMMON the authorization to offer degree programs leading to Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Integrative Psychology. This certification is a necessary authorization to operate legally as a higher education institution within the state.

As a licensed higher ed institution, COMMON is pursuing both institutional and programmatic accreditation. Institutional accreditation evaluates COMMON as a comprehensive educational institution. This accreditation is essential for students to qualify for federal financial aid programs, particularly those under Title IV of the Higher Education Act. Programmatic accreditation, on the other hand, assesses explicitly the quality and rigor of the psychology programs offered by COMMON.

Institutional Accreditation

COMMON is actively seeking institutional accreditation from a federally recognized accrediting body as a Title IV gatekeeper, enabling broader access to federal student aid for its students. Students graduate with a degree from an accredited institution, provided the accreditation is completed by the time students finish their degree, not when they begin. Our estimated completion for institutional accreditation is August 2027.
